Hello and welcome,
I am an independent jewellery and watch valuer and gemmologist with over 20 years of jewellery industry experience based in Glasgow City centre. I have worked within the high end retail sector within the Argyll Arcade in Glasgow, which gives me excellent knowledge of large, and fancy colour diamonds. Working with, and having been trained by brands like Rolex and Patek Philippe, has given me insight into the market values of these brands and others.
In 2019 I decided that it was time for me to to begin my own venture, offering a personal service that allowed me to carry out a home visit valuation service. In 2021 I was able to add an office location for clients who prefer the convenience of Glasgow City centre.
I am very passionate about gemmology, the study of gem materials, and am often found at the microscope taking photomicrographs of inclusions. I find it fascinating to explore this microscopic world and so much information can be gained (see my blog for more information on inclusions and origin).
To me, my clients' satisfaction is the most important factor in my work. This is why I offer a home visit service which is convenient to you and gives you peace of mind that your items are safe at all times. It's a pleasure for me to answer all the questions you may have about your jewellery. Often heirlooms are handed down without much of a back story so let me help piece together some of the story by using hallmarks, cutting styles and other information.
I pride myself in keeping up-to-date with the latest in technology and gemstones testing equipment, meaning that I can provide synthetic diamond screening - an important tool in valuations.
